Boat & Bikes

Many of you have inquiried for a boat to rent during your stay at Lillan. Now you can!

At the end of the Strandvägen, in the beginning of Gropshagsvägen, you’ll find this sweet little boat to go explore the nearby archipelago. Ask for keys preferably before you start your stay at Lillan ☀️

These excellent bikes can be found by Ruukin Sauna. They belong to Carfield chain so you can rent the bikes from one station and leave them to another. Handy, don’t you think? Also available in children sizes!

Wonderful way to explore Kimito Islands. Did you know you can take a bike to a ferry here for free?

And as you have a bike renting time, don’t miss Ruukin sauna, it’s wonderful food, sauna or ice cream that is so delicious words are not enough ❤ Or taste the great coffees Kyösti serves you. My favourite is Latte Macchiato, how about yours?

Ps. If you want to take your toddlers to a bike ride, you can! Just contact Ville Laitinen / NaturEffect and he’ll rent you this convertible 🙂 Or book directly from here.

Dreams Coming True

I always encourage Lillaneers to tell their ideas, wishes and ideas how to develope Lillan and its services even better.

The brand new potato brush placed in the basin closet.
During the last weeks I’ve had requests from a potato brush to sunnier weather. Some of the wishes are easily fulfilled and I do my best even to negotiate with the weather guys.

My highest hope is that your stay at Lillan is pleasant. That you and your loved ones truly enjoy.

I appreciate any wishes and development ideas you have and give. Thank you for helping me to make things even more perfect at Lillan!

There have already been done a lot of changes and improvements according to the greetings I’ve got. Take the dining table, for instance. I made it from an old door to fit Lillan style but the idea to get a larger table came from a lovely Lillaneer.

Some of the wishes I can fulfill (almost) instantly, others take a bit more time. But rest assured, they are all taken into consideration and will come to my to do -list.

You can give your feedback and ideas via email or for instance by writing it here and sending it to me. I’ll make my best to fulfill your wishes ❤

Why do I ask?

You book your stay at Lillan. All goes well. Then, all of a sudden, you get an email from me with abysmal list of questions. How many of you will be coming? Adults, children? Doubles, singles? Ages, genders? Your estimated time of arrival? Your other wishes or questions about your stay?

What is this? Am I just infinitely nosy? Nope. I’m asking all these questions to serve you better.

I re-organize the furniture, especially beds, always according to the guests arriving. Every bed is somewhat convertible: upstairs bedroom beds flex from 100 to 180 centimeters. Double beds can be turned into single beds. Et cetera. You wouldn’t believe what a furniture jive I have before your stay. (Sorry if I’m sweaty.)

There is a cradle (to the downstairs bedroom) and a crib (to upstairs bedroom or master bedroom). Plus two extra beds to be placed where ever there is a need.

I want to match all the linen accordingly so the preparations for your stay start, on my behalf, way before you arrive to Lillan.

I appreciate you informing as precise time of arrival as possible because I come personally to welcome you to Lillan. Since I don’t live there I have to make some preparations to be able to match my timetable with yours. And yes, I still want you to be able to come when it suites you best – no fixed o’clock.

I ask for your wishes about services, events, to-dos and to-sees to get all ready for your visit to be as successful as possible. Most of the services require something preliminary to be all set when you arrive.

I want you to rest easy and enjoy your stay at Lillan. That’s why I ask ❤

Where to eat?

At Dalsbruk, Kimitoön and Archipelago there are lots of places to eat full meal or to have a snack, salty or sweet. Very close to Lillan and then a bit further. There are few more than listed here but these mentioned below I’ve tested myself and can warmly recommend. Would also love to hear your comments and feedback of them – how did they serve you and your loved ones?

To serve better

Dear Lillaneers and all want-to-become-ones!

I’m so excited to tell there have come lots of answers to the questionnaire about the most important things you are seeking when staying at Lillan.

I wrote the questions so that I could serve You even better. There are quite a lot of wonderful services, things to do and to see here. There are many ways to optimize your stay so that you can experience the right things for you, the ultimate things exactly you are longing for.

So, I’m creating stunning (in a positive sense, I hope) pages for the services. There you can click and choose either ready service packages or tailor your own – both are wanted.

NB: There is still some time left to give your input and leave your own mark to how I optimize services. To make good service even better.

So. Here is the same questionnaire again. Answer the short questionnaire below. If you want to leave your email, you’ll be participating in a lottery of TWO NIGHTS FREE STAY at Lillan! (Due 30th of April). Thank you already beforehand! ❤

What are YOU interested in?

Hi there, sweet Lillaneer or want-to-be-one. As always, I want to make my best to ensure your stay in Lillan as wonderful as possible. Lillan is quite booked already for this summer (WINK: winter and spring are still mostly available!) and many of guests are inquiring about things to do. Some have specific to-do’s already in mind, other are just planning and eager to find out, what’s out there.

I’m collecting different activities, things to do and see, places worth visiting etc for their own sheet on Lillan home page to help you all plan THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER. And I need your help. What are you keen on doing on your holiday? What interests you most? What will make your heart pound (in a good way) so that you just can’t wait your vacation to begin?

Answer the short questionnaire below. If you want to leave your email, you’ll be participating in a lottery of TWO NIGHTS FREE STAY at Lillan! (Due 30th of April). Thank you already beforehand! ❤

Visited Ruukin Sauna

I had the honor to visit historic, newly renovated Ruukin Sauna this summer, invited by sauna hostess Henna Heinänen. What a true luxury!

The dressing room is roomy and full of light, its high ceiling and old details lovely.

Light and soft hammam towels are ready in line at the old drying line waiting to be wrapped around you.

The shower room is quite explicit. Stone on the wall changes colour as the water hits it, making the room change its outlook. Wonderful waterfall showers give soft, refreshing wash.

And the sauna then! Roomy benches with high level of carpentry. Non-direct light. Stove is the best there is, IKI-stove. Could not get any better than this.

After long sauna it is wonderful to have some glasses of water – or some other refreshments, to that matter.

I am very proud to have Ruukin sauna as cooperation partner to Lillan!

Delicacies in Lillan!

I was given an honor to provide Lillan’s next guests with breakfast and other snack goods for the days they will be visiting. Eager to present all the delicacies we have and make on this island I contacted local producers with my task. And look what a lovely set I could collect! Not much needed to buy from local markets in addition.

I’ll have this from now on as a fixed service for Lillaneers, more info of providers and their products on its own page. Please contact me at least a week beforehand if you want to have Lillan fridge full of some of these goods when you come!
